Let’s stop pretending social media works for everyone.

I don’t think every artist needs to delete their social media forever. I do think, however, that most of us could use a reframe.

You’ve sat through the webinars, downloaded the cheat sheets, and debated whether Meta ads will move the needle. Maybe you’ve wondered if you should bite the bullet and try to go viral using dance trends, or make those “TikTok doesn’t care about audio that isn’t trending, so if you’re here, you must be cool” style videos. You know the ones. Let’s be real: you didn’t start making music to become a content creator.

Here’s where I come in:

I believe marketing is a creative act, and so is running a music career.

Instead of seeing marketing as a necessary evil, I support artists in approaching the release process as part of the art itself: another chance to connect meaningfully and imaginatively with your audience.

Don’t let an overemphasis on social media strategy sap the joy from releasing music!
